Deep in the Pacific Northwest, a strong but lonely grizzly bear named Brin meets a tiny, talkative owl named Melly, and his whole world begins to change.
Together, they explore the forest, share laughter, and help their animal friends when a wildfire threatens everything they love. Their adventure gives families and classrooms a warm way to talk about friendship, courage, kindness, belonging, and helping others.
The story began with an original chainsaw carving Aaron Chavez created in Guangzhou, China. The bear felt strong but lonely, while the little owl was curious, funny, and full of personality. That sculpture became Brin and Melly.
